Have you ever thought about what it might be like to be one of hundreds of people that volunteer their time to “Rescue” animals? Illinois Animal Rescue is always looking for volunteers in:

Please consider helping with transport. There are a few ways you can contribute to a transport. Each transport of animals cost IAR approximately $400 dollars. That amount will transport at least 30 dogs and cats to rescue in no-kill shelters and organizations in the Chicagoland area where they are made available for adoption. Do you like to drive? Please consider being a transporter. Legs of transports may be as little as 1-2 hour drive. Whatever time you are able to donate to animal rescue-the choice is up to you.

Do you, or anyone you know, own a plane? Often animals are transported by air. The flights are much shorter and less stressful then the long transports, especially for the small puppies being pulled off death row. The owners of airplanes donate their plane, fuel, and a pilot, all to save animals lives, to rescue. Does someone you know need some extra flying hours?

Do you have a little space available in your home? We often need emergency, temporary or long term foster homes in order to pull the animals off of death row. Please consider becoming a foster home.

Are you a Veterinarian? Do you know a Veterinarian? Please consider donating veterinary care such as spays or neuters, or other medical necessities. All animals must be spayed or neutered, fully vaccinated, heartworm checked (dogs), FeLV/FIV checked (cats) and microchipped, prior to adoption and some before transport.

Community Outreach
Our goal is to turn Illinois into the NO-KILL state. The only way to accomplish this is to do everything that we can to educate our community on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets.

They all have a name...
They all have a story...
But they can't tell us.

Please put the pounds, shelters and animal controls practicing euthanasia out of business...
